It's value-led so that it feels natural to make the ask later on in the content once the trust and connection have been built. If you hate the idea of pushy content, attraction marketing is something you’ll love.
We’re also not spending forever in the DM’s trying to close leads. Sure, you can (and should!) follow up with leads who reach out to you off the back of your attraction marketing content but we’re not chasing anyone.
If the thought of chasing people in the DM’s makes you feel icky, it’s not a part of attraction marketing. The bulk of the selling has already been done through your content and the trust you’ve built. By the time potential clients/customers reach out to you, they’re ready to take action - booking a call, completing an application or whatever the next step is in your system.

What You Need To Make Attraction Marketing Work
Have a clearly defined audience that you know inside out.
Understand the biggest challenges facing your audience and what they really want. Go deep on this and come up with as many challenges as you can - both big and small. Do some research in your niche to pick up on challenges that you may not even have thought of. Forums and communities can be great sources of research. Once you’re done with the research, you should have a stream of content ideas that you can use for attraction marketing.
Try to get prospects on your email list so you can continue to provide value around their challenges and desires until they’re ready to reach out.
