Think blogging is just an outdated way of showing you know your stuff as a women’s health coach, nutritionist, dietitian or therapist?

If blogging hasn’t worked for you, it’s not because it’s ‘dead’. It’s because you needed to approach it in a different way.

You were probably told that writing blogs would help you get more clients.

You just weren't told that you'd need to write OPTIMISED blogs for this to happen or that your blog should be playing a specific role in your overall marketing.

A well optimised blog that uses the right keywords and is written with SEO in mind can help you get in front of the people who are currently searching for the health related things you can help with.

We live in an age where Google is the first port of call for answers, especially for health. When your potential clients are looking for answers about their symptoms and overall health, your blog posts should be showing up in front of them.

But it won’t happen by magic.

You need to make sure that you’re actually blogging about the topics that are being searched for (and not just posting about random topics that *might* be valuable to some potential clients) and that you’re using keywords that will help you show in these searches.

Your blogs CAN and SHOULD be acting as a first step to encouraging potential clients to work with you i.e as part of a mini funnel.

They won't necessarily get you enquiries right off the bat. Organic search traffic is cold and usually knows nothing about you. I

If you’re not also thinking about how to use your blogs to get these potential clients deeper into your world, there’s a high risk that you’ll lose them forever because they won’t be ready to enquire there and then. They need to get to know, like and trust you first.

Your blogs can form a vital part of getting the right people into your world so other parts of your marketing can nurture and sell. Your blogs don’t need to do everything - they just need to be a crucial first step in the relationship so that other parts of your marketing can build trust and nurture towards action.

This is how you ensure that your blogs can bring the right people into your world and move them a step closer to working with you.

This might look like encouraging downloads for a lead magnet or free training so you can nurture not yet ready leads until the time is right

Or it might look like guiding along the path to joining a membership, course, programme or 1-1 service

Every new optimised blog post you add to your website is another opportunity to get in front of potential clients who are actively searching for info on health topics you can support them with.

When your blogs are optimised for search, they can have a long shelf life and keep bringing traffic for years to come.

Compare that to the average IG post, which has a few days life or even just hours.

A blog post written today can still bring traffic next month, next year and even next decade as long as it's well optimised and relevant.

But to really reap the SEO and organic traffic benefits, adding new optimised blogs regularly is where the magic happens.

Because the more you're adding new content that can rank for the right keywords, the more opportunity you have to get in front of the right potential clients and help them to realise that you a) exist and b) can help them.

It's a cumulative thing. More content adds up over time.

As long as you're doing good keyword research and optimising but that's a whole other story.

Without that, you won't see SEO benefits and potential clients will struggle to find your blogs, no matter how much content you add.

This is why my done for you blog subscriptions include bigger picture strategy so we can use your blogs as a relationship builder, keyword research to make sure you’re covering topics that your potential clients actually have a genuine interest in and that we can optimise your blog copy so your blogs can rank for the right keywords and show up in organic search when potential clients are searching for health/wellness information via these keywords.

As a blog writer for nutritionists, wellness coaches, dietitians and therapists, I’ll help you to create blogs that show up in search so you can take advantage of the many Google searches for health info that take place every single day and to use your blogs as a way to get more potential clients moving through your funnel and towards your signature offer(s).
