Client Case Study: Warming Up New Leads With a Freebie Funnel

The Project:

  • Lead magnet to get people on her list

  • Landing page to encourage people to opt-in for the freebie

  • 6-email sequence to help people get to know her story and mission and build trust, authority and engagement

The challenge:

My client is a nutritionist with a focus on gut health. Having worked together on the copy for her brand new website, her attention had now turned to building up her email list and making the most of the leads visiting the site.

She knew that she would benefit from having an opt-in and welcome sequence to get potential clients on her list and be able to nurture them but getting together the various parts of the freebie funnel had felt confusing and overwhelming.

My approach:

After discussing her current marketing and future plans on a discovery call, we decided to create a simple freebie funnel for her new opt-in that would include the lead magnet, a landing page to encourage opt-ins and a 6-email sequence to nurture her new leads on a deeper level.

This sequence focused on building trust, authority and engagement so that potential clients could quickly get to know her and turn from cold leads into slightly warmer ones. This was done through adding value and strategically using social proof to move leads along the customer journey.

Throughout the project, we worked with a designer to ensure that the lead magnet, landing page and emails were on-brand at every touchpoint of the funnel.

Here’s what my client had to say about our work on her freebie funnel:

"Sally has helped me to pull together the various elements of my freebie funnel such as my free downloadable, landing page and nurture sequence.

Sally kept me informed and guided me every step of the way. She helped to break down everything in a lovely way which for me had previously felt very overwhelming.

She just makes the whole process very easy and takes away the overwhelm." - Kal
